Hi, I’m Charlisha "Char" Johnson—a Certified Therapeutic Art Coach, plant lover, and Licensed Insurance Advisor. After losing my son, I found healing through planting and creating art. What began as personal therapy became Planted in Peace, a peaceful, creative space for others to breathe, reflect, and reconnect. Now, I bring this healing experience to senior centers, caregivers, and community groups throughout north and central Florida.
You host the group, and I'll bring the plants, art and peaceful energy. Let's create something meaningful together.

Mindfulness Moments
Through gentle breathing and present-moment awareness, mindfulness helps calm the nervous system, reduce anxiety, and deepen emotional clarity. In each Planted in Peace workshop, we begin with a quiet moment to breathe, ground, and reconnect—with ourselves, with nature, and with the peace we’re planting within.
Find calm in the chaos with Planted in Peace — a soulful journal that blends nature-inspired coloring pages with gentle writing prompts to help you slow down, reflect, and reconnect.

We create! You might paint a pot, plant herbs, or color calming botanical pages. We also start with a simple breathing exercise and I share wellness tips, plant care insights, and a gentle story of healing. It's peaceful, creative, and easy for everyone to join in.
Nope! I bring everything—art supplies, plants, potting mix, tools, and the good energy. All your group needs to do is show up with an open heart and a little curiosity.
Planted in Peace is for anyone who needs a moment to slow down, breathe, and reconnect—with themselves and others. It’s especially loved by seniors, caregivers, community groups, and those navigating grief or life transitions—but truly, anyone can benefit from a little creative calm.
The full experience runs about 60 to 75 minutes, depending on the group’s pace. We allow time for creating, breathing, sharing, and a few plant care tips—without rushing. It’s meant to feel relaxed and restorative.
"I didn’t know what to expect—but the moment we started breathing together, I felt something shift. Painting and talking about plants brought me so much peace. I left feeling lighter, more grounded, and honestly—just grateful. Thank you, Char, for creating this space."
— Sandra M., Workshop Guest
"Planted in Peace™ was exactly what our group needed. Char led with such compassion and calm energy. The seniors were fully engaged—from painting to sharing stories—and many asked when she could come back. It was more than an activity. It was an experience."
— Debra T., Senior Center Director
